The BMW Group Dingolfing Plant serves as the global "lead plant" for the premium segment within a network of over 30 production sites worldwide. At the Dingolfing location, six different model series, comprising more than a dozen different models, are produced, including innovative hybrid and electric variants.
To efficiently produce over 1,500 vehicles daily, flexible, sustainable, and digital manufacturing technologies are essential. These requirements are implemented by the BMW Group worldwide as part of the BMW iFACTORY, BMW's strategy for automotive production.
As part of the Automotive Lean Production Congress, the BMW Group invites you to take an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the largest BMW Group production site in Europe. During a bespoke and comprehensive plant tour, you will visit all the central production stations in Plant 2.40, from the press shop and body shop to the paint shop and vehicle
assembly.
Of course, you will also visit the vehicle assembly, which won the Automotive Lean Production Award in the "OEM" category in 2022. Numerous different BMW models are assembled in two assembly halls, with over 3 km of assembly lines, all within a 10-hour cycle time. The assembly technology in Dingolfing takes a pioneering role within the group, where many projects are piloted. The plant tour is a unique opportunity to experience one of the most successful areas of the BMW iFACTORY up close and to ask the experts on-site all your questions.
