Eissmann Automotive Hungaria Kft. already received a Lean Award 10 years ago - at that time the highlights were:
These highlights have since been further refined and intensified - the KAIZEN culture shapes the company. This is not surprising, as the site in Nyíregyháza has an outstandingly low turnover rate in the management area for the region of Eastern Europe. The average length of service of their 25 employees on the first to third management levels is over 15 years. But what has been added in the last ten years to further improve their workflows? Quite a lot: a sophisticated Heijunka that is understood by everyone, continuous pull across all manufacturing levels, functioning store floor management and functioning quality control loops, value stream planning with management Kaizen derived from it, smart solutions for standardised work and many intelligent digital solutions. The latter are developed by an in-house team, which is part of the EPS (Eissmann Production System) division, either independently or in a lead role together with external partners. In particular, the in-house developed EASY Software Suite should be mentioned here, on whose platform more and more APPs are being built. Due to the pioneering role of the Nyíregyháza plant in the Eissmann Group, many best practices, and APPs (so-called "digital extra modules") have been/are being rolled out in sister plants. In this respect, the plant also makes a remarkable contribution to the entire group.
The motto of Eissmann Hungary - Not a day should go by without improvement - continues to be put into practice in the plant. The classic lean principles continue to form a strong foundation, value stream planning and the projects derived from it raise value stream performance to a new level, and an additional boost is provided by intelligent digitalisation solutions. Therefore, the Eissmann Automotive plant in Nyíregyháza, Hungary will receive the 'Automotive Lean Production' Award 2022 in the category "Part Supplier".
