ALP 2019

Learning from the best! - has again been the defined goal of this years’ Automotive Lean Production - Award & Study initiative. In the benchmark study, the "leanest" plants - OEMs and suppliers - faced an international competition for the prestigious Automotive Lean Production Awards. Automobil Produktion and Agamus Consult honored the Best Performers in November.

The highlight of the initiative was the Automotive Lean Production congress. During the two-day event at the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg, the winners of the various award categories received their awards and explained their lean path and achievements to the public.

On November 5th, the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg, winner of the 2018 award in the category "OEM", invited the public to an exclusive tour of its production facilities. At the subsequent get-together at Hafen 1, the participants had the opportunity to discuss, exchange experiences and make contacts with proven lean- and industry 4.0 experts.

After the welcome speech by Dirk Reusch, Publishing Manager, Automobil Produktion, Dr. Robert Cisek, Production and Logistics, Head of Production Strategy, Volkswagen AG, opened the second day of the event on November 6, 2019.
